New This Week 3/22

New: the win or lose box for 150 gold. There are 5 items you have a 50% chance of winning in each box which change every week. They include 2 thrones, 2 crown accessories (see pic below), & a moody cat. If you lose, you get a cream pie in the face.

In expensive mystery boxes I found a cow & sheep plushie (I wanted this one because I'm an Aries XP), a carnival mask, and a flying pet wall sticker. My plushie count is now up to 40 ^_^

Also new this week - fantasy flowers! They cost petcash but the ones I've grown so far are worth it =)

New Items! 3/25

New releases came early this week along with a new map/shop layout! My favorite item was the stack of pillows which also has a seating slot.

The map has new stores that break up items into specific categories or 'floors'. I like the new organization because it groups items together in an easy-to-find format and it's so much nicer not to have to scroll through hundreds of items. However, in my opinion, many of the divisions seem redundant or uncessary.

I also finished filling up the bar for the largest eco box - I recieved a beautiful stone fountain =)

Also new in the shop are tons of items to celebrate Easter like a bunny teddy bear, festive food, balloons, Easter baskets, a table piled high with chocolate treats, and the coveted Easter bunny suit (I so called it last week lol)!! I prefer the brown one but I wish they had a brown ear headband instead of the white one so I don't have to buy the full head piece.

I'm collecting cupcakes - the one on the far left is grown on a tree - the two on the right are new this week. The cake is a recipe item you can cook. I wonder when they're going to come out with new cooking appliances =)

Finished Rooms!

These are my finished rooms =) From looking at friends' homes I've started using DIY shelves and furniture as architecture. For the underwater room I raised a fountain on a shelf so it would flow into the bathtub. There were a lot of pieces I didn't have room for but I like how it turned out.

I also don't like too much clutter - I like spaces so you can see each object. The faerie room looks like the inside of an oak tree - I love the combination of the wall paper with the flooring. I added forest plushies and the mushroom footstool.

The ballroom is a room I've been working on for awhile. I broke up the walls with the garden patio. It didn't go all the way to the ceiling so I added shelves at the bottom to look like steps. The chandelier helps bring the two halves of the room together.

The cafe is a combination of the Valentine's and cafe set. I really like the toto plushie, tea pot set, bread basket, window, and door. The fantasy flower in the pot on the left is an enchanted sugar plum.

Two downstairs rooms are modern. I don't have a kitchen yet but I like the room themes I've picked out. New sets always seem to fit into at least one of them. In this room there are pieces from mystery boxes, Chinese New Year's, and basic furniture items. I like the devil plushie that's not in stores anymore and the pile of pillows.

This room is my main room that you see when you load the house. Current items are always displayed here - hence the Easter decorations.

This is an attic room I use for storage.

Daily Updates 3-24

Today my goal to beat my friend by leveling up first. It took about an hour to fill up 1/2 of the level bar. I'm also trying to maximize recycle points:

But of course, as soon as I leveled, my friend Cassie did too XP With level 29 you get a new room in the attic level & a bigger, fancier house icon.

I also used a cherry from the Valentine's Day Tree as bait and caught a Valentine's heartfish. The pink heartfish looks exactly the same except it's a light pink

Current goal: trying to catch the new bunny fish

Visiting Friends' Homes

I love to visit friends' homes and meet new people at the cafe - I always discover new items or get a crazy idea for a new room when I visit others' houses.

I love the kiki and Napolean plushie =) And the haunted mansion/goth theme that a player used in different variations in each room was awesome. The leaf bed was a prize my friend got from a mystery recycle box - I like it better than both faerie beds ^_^

Expensive Mystery Box Items

I usually buy the expensive mystery boxes and if I'm lucky I can make a nice profit off of selling back the ones I don't like. It's interesting that there are still some really old items in the boxes and a few variations of new ones.

I caught a bananafish!

Mystery Eggs

There have been many wonderful mystery eggs, the newest one being Easter themed which reveal decorative items which allow you to customize your very own Easter egg. My favorite set are the Fortune Mystery Eggs -

the outfit (only for female characters unfortunately) is very unique with a jewel hair chain. There is also a crystal ball which sparkles, a tent, matching stools, and a table.

There is also a Faerie & Autumn Faerie Mystery Egg set. Together with the dress you can purchase in the Clothes shop there are 3 faerie outfits, 2 wings, and several hair pieces.

Below is my current faerie room. It's a mix of faerie, autumn faerie, and last week's shamrock furniture sets. I really like the faerie bottles on the shelf, the acorn lamp, mushroom stool (from the furniture shop), leaf rug, and windows. I think I'll eventually use the wood wallpaper so the entire room looks like the inside of an oak tree =)

I've collected all of the Snow White mystery egg pieces that I liked like the wishing well, magic mirror, queen dress, and crown. I think my next investment will be the food booth set - there are a couple of dishes I can add to my cafe ^_^

Fish Feature

I just started catching fish so I've missed a few holiday limited releases but I'm slowly catching up =) Favorite fish I've caught so far:

Easter Items

Every Sunday I wait with expectation for the new item set to be released. This week it's Easter themed. Aside from my disappointment at the absence of a bunny suit (it would totally match the ears XP), I was excited to see 3 new holiday trees instead of the customary single release!

There are several new outfits, a furniture set, eggs that you can decorate, mystery chocolate eggs in the food shop, Easter ham, hot cross buns, and my favorite item of the week - an Easter greenhouse that - upon purchase - qualifies you for a flower-a-day mail service =)
