5/3: New Updates and Cinco De Mayo

New updates: I found the classy kitty in an expensive mystery box and Pet Society gave out heart flower fan gifts! =)

This week's theme is Cinco De Mayo which means lots of yummy food, Mexican furniture, and festive clothes to celebrate. I love the pet catrinas plushie (the skeleton), collection of terra cotta pots, and the teal table set. Another exciting release are 2 daily food gift sets - one featuring traditional Mexican food and the other candy. The last time Pet Society had daily releases was during Easter (see Easter post).

Mexican Food By Day Released:

Mexican Sweets By Day Released:

The other awesome new set are Spring Faerie Mystery Eggs!!! This complements the original Faerie Mystery Egg set and the Autumn Faerie Mystery Egg set.

There's a new outfit, accessories, floor/wall set, seating, bed, table, and rug:

My other favorite new item is a beautiful May Pole which is featured at center commemorating May Day on 5/1.

Peter Pan

New this week is a Peter Pan theme complete with lots of new outfits, plushies, and furniture. For the girls there is a Tinkerbell, Lost Girl, Tiger Lilly, and Wendy outfit. For the guys you can dress up as Smee, Captain Hook, a Lost Boy, or Peter Pan ^_^

Tinkerbell adds to my faerie collection - I now have 6 dresses and 4 wings. With the new outfits I also earned a gold shirt trophy.

The furniture set lets you recreate Wendy's bedroom in 2 color schemes:

My favorites I think are the toy chest and nana plushie. Another new development is Hideeni - he changed from an Easter bunny to an astronaut:

Mystery Box Finds & New Fruit

New this week - I reached 100,000 paw points!

Here's a pic of the new sakura and eco tree fruits:

I also managed to snag a rare mystery box Emperor doll that matches the red Empress doll you can buy in the store. In addition saved up 10k and bought an onsen which matched the new outdoor wallpaper/floor set.

I finally found a super rare Geisha mask in an expensive mystery box which matches the Geisha wig and kimono:

The photos above are themed outfits I put together and photoshop with appropriate titles ^_^

Week of 4/19

First up are a couple of neat homes & characters:

This house belongs to Kiew - it's the largest one I've seen

Kiew's house was packed with stuffed animals and fish - it was amazing to see the collections in each room. And his character Winter has bat wings =)

Yaama - created by Gary - is one of the most interesting characters I've seen ^_^

Now on to the new stuff - it's prom week and Earth Day in Pet Society!

The outfit above is one of 3 new prom dresses. There are also crowns, a tuxedo for the guys, tiaras, a buffet table, balloon arches, ballroom wallpaper, string lights, and an outdoor garden wall/floor set.

One of my favorite new items is a gorgeous night sky window (2nd pic) that frames a balcony. It's an update on an older, larger item.

There's also an eco tree and 5 corsages that grow out of pots in 3 stages.

1/11 - Japanese Theme

New this week are Japanese themed items. I'll start off with highlights then give an example of 2 themed rooms I put together. As I mentioned in the last post, there is a furniture set, decorative items, 1 wallpaper and flooring, mystery box food, 5 new outfits, 2 new wigs, a beautiful garden window, and a rare fish and sakura tree.

The schoolgirl outfit is my favorite - a definite improvement on the sailor dress I had been using. The kimonos are simply gorgeous - there is also a purple variation of the blue kimono above and a white/pink kimono. Each comes with its own hair accessory. There are also two geta you can mix and match with the outfits. I also really like the red hachimaki available in the men's department.

I was very happy to discover that for this release the tree and limited fish can be purchased without playfish cash. I went through about 22 seeds before I came across the rare tree but only had to use a few mystery box foods before I reeled in a koi.

The mystery box foods are incredible - so detailed and include some of my favorite dishes =). The box they come in is so cute I wish it could sit properly on a shelf. Pink daifuku and piping hot green tea seem to be the rarer of the prizes. There is also a tako (octopus) appetizer, anko dessert, cup of ramen, onigiri (one of my top fav. Japanese foods ^_^), dorayaki, and assorted sushi.

Below are two Japanese themed rooms I put together. One major, major grievance I have with playfish has been mentioned many times in forums. It's the ability to layer with their items. Granted, it's really difficult in a flash game but for items you pay a lot for (the Japanese window with panels that can open to reveal a panorama of Mt. Fugi) you should be able to put things in front of it or set decorative items on the window ledge.

The detail and items they did release however are simply stunning - I love the variability, colors, and selection. The pink and blue paper cranes are amazing as is the Empress doll, manga shelf, and Shiba inu plushie. I love the kotatsu (I think playfish likes to release in pink/blue XP). I set the Japanese tea set on top of it along with the mystery box cup of green tea. The wallpaper/flooring set is also incredible =) I've been desperately hoping for this set for months and intend to get every item lol

Exciting new developments!

First up - new this week - 4/5 - are new wig colors! Brown, carrot, red, blonde, black, etc. - you can now permanently change the color of your wigs for 2 playfish cash.

My plushie collection has also been growing - alot of the ones above came from mystery boxes like the lion, mayor teddy bear, nutcracker teddy bear, sheep, and harvest moon cow =). Nessie is one of my favorites and the mole and bellhop teddy bear (to commemorate playfish's beta Hotel app) are new collector's items this week.

Also new this week - mystery box items have been shuffled around and refreshed. Old items that were temporarily discontinued are reappearing like the koala plushie and stuffed animal basket. The tea tray is also a nice addition to the cafe set.

And the most exciting piece of news yet - next week is Japanese themed!!! I think playfish finally listened to my months of begging on surveys XP jk. They have really outdone themselves this time - petsocietyfans.com has a preview of what you can expect to appear in stores today. I've added up the total amount of items I'll probably purchase and it comes out to a hefty 12k lol I spent most of last night saving up for it.

Examples of exciting new items:

  1. Paper cranes in blue and pink
  2. Japanese kotatsu and tea set
  3. Rice cooker
  4. 2 kimonos, a school uniform, and a male kimono
  5. Red hachimaki
  6. Shoji wallpaper and tatami mat flooring
  7. 2 new wigs
  8. Pink & teal hair dye
  9. Mystery bento box
Playfish gave a hint as to next week's theme by introducing a few new mystery box items. The emperor doll compliments the empress doll which will appear in stores. There is a geisha mask to match the new geisha wig, and an onsen bucket to coincide with the outdoor onsen.

This set looks amazing and absolutely perfect - the only thing missing I would have liked to see would have been 1 other wallpaper set to match the outdoor onsen and garden window theme. I would have glady paid cash for an outdoor Japanese tea garden wallpaper =)

New This Week 3/29

A new item this week is a personal diary that gives summaries of player/character info. It helps keep track of achievements.

Expensive mystery box items I found this week: a lion plushie, limited edition polka dot wall clock, and an armillery sphere which was a perfect addition to the fortune teller mystery set. This-week-only item - a cat plushie that sits on your head =)

Also new this week - full bunny suits!!
